Samsung Q4 will raise NAND product prices by more than 10%
There are reports that in order to boost the NAND Flash chip market, it is planned to increase the price of NAND chips by more than 10% in the fourth quarter, and the price will increase as soon as October. Industry insiders believe that DRAM and NAND contract prices are expected to increase by 10% to 15% in the fourth quarter.
Prior to this, Samsung Electronics recently conducted a survey on the semiconductor demand of its major global customers. The results show that the semiconductor industry will rebound comprehensively starting from 2024. As the smartphone market gradually recovers, it is expected that some markets will experience a shortage of DRAM and NAND chips, especially in the Chinese market.
Samsung Electronics will increase the price of NAND chip contracts starting from new orders signed in October as soon as possible. This is the latest strategy of the South Korean technology giant to boost NAND chip prices, following the previous announcement of a reduction in NAND chip production.
