Due to the recent shortage of foundry production capacity, the market has announced that major foundries will increase their quotations for new orders by 15% from May, and it has also been reported that wafers produced in May will also adopt new quotations.
 
The report pointed out that since most of the wafers produced in May are orders for the first and February of this year, and the price of the wafers has been increased by about 10% at that time, if the goods are picked up, the price will be increased by 15%, which is equivalent to an increase in the same batch of goods. Priced twice, for the first time ever.
 
The report pointed out that IC design houses have already been raised once in wafer fabs. If the news of the price increase is true, it can be said that the foundries have "shoved two layers of skin" from IC design manufacturers.
